16-year-old accidentally shot by cousin in Yakima has died

AKIMA, Wash. (AP) – A 16-year-old accidentally shot in an altercation near a high school in Yakima Tuesday afternoon has died, according to police. The teen’s 15-year-old cousin was arrested in connection to the incident in which an 18 year old was also wounded in the shooting during a fight near Eisenhower High School, the Yakima Herald-Republic reported. The 18-year-old, who was in serious condition, told police he got into an argument with the 16-year-old when gunfire erupted and he realized he had been shot in the wrist, the affidavit said. The 15 year-old shot his cousin unintentionally, police said.
