Few details are being released about a police standoff with an armed man Saturday near the Priest Rapids Dam. Grant County deputies tweeted the man threatened people in the area of State Route 243 near the dam and then fled in a vehicle on the Yakima [ya kuh muh] County side of the dam where he became trapped. Residents were told to shelter in place during the incident and facilities in the area were put on lockdown as a precautionary measure. The investigation is ongoing.
