North central Washington residents woke up to iced over cars and sidewalks

SPOKANE – North central Washington residents woke up to iced over cars and sidewalks Tuesday morning in another round of witner weather. After record snowfall in much of north central Washington, the National Weather Service in Spokane is now predicting freezing rain, the most since the start of winter, will create ice accumulations of up to 1/10 of an inch in Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas, Adams, Grant, and Lincoln counties. Meteorologists say Tuesday’s ice over is expected to create hazardous driving conditions through the afternoon in some areas.
