EAST WENATCHEE – The name of a 28-year-old woman killed last week when she was struck by a box truck on state Route 28, east of East Wenatchee has been released. Police identified the victim as, Taylor A. Fukuzawa, of East Wenatchee, and said she was in the eastbound lane of SR 28, near milepost 15, helping remove a deer carcass from the road when she was hit by the truck, according to the state patrol. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the box truck was was not hurt. State route 28 was closed for more than three hours after the incident.
