Inslee deploys state National Guard to Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee

OLYMPIA – Gov. Jay Inslee is deploying members of the state National Guard to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee and three other hospitals to set up testing sites. Troops will also help in non-medical tasks amid staffing shortages and a surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations. Inslee announced Thursday that COVID-19 testing teams will be based at hospitals in Olympia, Richland, Seattle and Tacoma.
All members should be in place by Jan. 24.
