WENATCHEE – A recent traffic stop in Wenatchee ended with the arrest of a suspected drug dealer. Officers seized more than 1,000 fentanyl pills, 20 grams of heroin and cash, shining the light on what authorities say is a fentanyl pandemic plaguing the Wenatchee Valley. The street value of the fentanyl pills was estimated to be about $24,000. Officers say fentanyl is “extremely dangerous” and has been linked to several lethal overdoses.
