No one was hurt in Guye Peak rockslide over Thanksgiving weekend

SNOQUALMIE PASS – Snoqualmie Pass Fire and Rescue confirmed that no one was hurt in a rockslide on Guye Peak over the Thanksgiving weekend. The Nov. 27 avalanche sent a lot of rocks tumbling, including a boulder that was bigger than a mini-van and weighed about 170,000 pounds, which stopped short of some nearby buildings and homes. The Department of Natural Resources says the boulder and other rocks fell in a natural slide area on the Guye Peak’s south side during heavy rains.
