Burglary suspect shot by Moses Lake homeowner will spend more than year behind bars

MOSES LAKE – A man shot by a Moses Lake homeowner during a burglary this fall will spend more than a year behind bars. Eric Fuentes pleaded guilty to the Sept. 12 incident in which he led a Grant County deputy on a high speed chase in a stolen SUV, shortly after the 65 year old woman called 911 to report someone had broken into her home and she had shot him, according to court records. A charge of felony eluding was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. A judge sentenced the 28 year old perpatrator to 17.5 months behind bars, according to court records.
