Snowy weather caused vehicle spinouts and collions prompting closure of I-90

Snowy weather caused vehicle spinouts and collions Thursday night prompting Washington state transportation officials to close I-90 near Snoqualmie Pass. Both east bound and west bound lanes had to be shutdown due to hazardous road conditions, according to a tweet from the department of transportion. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the Cascade Mountains in Snohomish and King Counties through Friday morning. Three to 8 inches of snow was expected in Snoqualmie and Stevens passes.
