Othello Police issue a warning about leaving cars unattended while warming them up. The state has an unattended vehicle law that calls for fines at a minimum and other sanctions should the vehicle cause damage. The department says they know new vehicles have report start capability and those will not be cited as long as the doors remain locked and the keys are not inside.
