Changes made to the calculation of coronavirus case rates by the Othello School District mean some students will not be going back to class today. The new metric means K-3 students who transitioned back to online learning before Thanksgiving break will remain on that method. K-3 will remain on distance learning until the case rate drops below 400 per 100,000 residents. For other grades the rate needs to be below 300 per 100,000 residents before in person classes can resume.
