Ritzville State Senator Mark Schoesler steps down as Senate Minority Leader. Schoesler made the announcement earlier this week but does plan to stay in the Senate. The Republican Caucus voted Sen. John Braun of Centralia as Schoesler’s successor. Braun has been the ranking member of the Senate Ways & Means Committee since 2017. Democrats hold a 28-21 majority in the Senate
