2 people are hurt in a collision Friday on Highway 97 near Orondo. Police say Patrick Smith of Waterville was heading west on Highway 2 and had stopped at the Highway 97 intersection but pulled out in front of a semi-truck making a left turn and collided with the semi. Both vehicles came to rest in the ditch along Highway 2. Smith and his passenger were taken to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. The semi driver was not hurt.
