The Moses Lake City Council approved an updated ordinance banning camping in any park, street or public property at any time. The ordinance also includes a ban on sleeping in a car or leaving personal property in those same areas. This comes as the city gets ready to open its homeless camp at the site of a former State Route 17 lumber yard. Police Chief Kevin Fuhr says the ban will not be enforced until the camp is open.
