The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation reports a hole was recently discovered near Pinto Dam. Officials say the hole measures 3 feet around and 2 feet deep and is about 60 feet from the dam. Officials say there were no signs of structural damage so the hold was excavated, backfilled and compacted. Pinto Dam was constructed around 70 years ago and manages water for irrigation.
