Mattawa, Royal City and Soap Lake are sharing in nearly $11 million of Community Development Block Grants awarded by the state. Mattawa’s $685,000 grant is for the Mattawa Government Road multi-use pathway while Royal City was given a total of $930,000 for water systems improvements along with system planning and asset management. Soap Lake is awarded nearly $900,000 for wather system improvements. 7 muncipalities statewide received grants.
