A woman is killed in a car-semi collison Saturday on State Route 243 at the intersection of Road 23 SW. Police say Sergio Garciagarcia of Mattawa was on Road 23 SW and didn’t stop at the intersection with SR 243 resulting in his car being hit by a southbound semi. His passenger identified as Minerva Icezagacruz of Mattawa died at the scene while Garciagarcia was airlifted to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. The semi driver was not hurt.
