The City of Moses Lake Wastewater Division reports an increase in non-flushable items that cause blockages and pump failures in the City’s wastewater system. Non-flushable itens inclde disinfecting wipes and baby wipes, rags and other cloth products. Q-tips, Contraceptive materials, Female sanitary products, undergarments and Latex gloves along with Fats, Oils, and Grease. Flushable items only include human bodily waste, toilet paper, and wipes that are labeled “flushable.”
