A one-car crash southeast of Ephrata results in the driver’s death. Police say it happened Sunday when 33-year-old Michael Mendoza of Moses Lake was on the W20 canal road which is at the east end of Road 8-Northwest east of Dodson Road Northwest. It appeared Mendoza tried to turn around resulting in car sliding over an then rolling onto its top into the irrigation canal which was full of water. Mendoza died at the scene.
