Heavy Labor Day traffic mixed with heavy smoke from several wildfires resulted in sections of several highways being closed on Monday. Those road included I-90 between Ritzville and the Grant County line, Highway 395 between Ritzville and State Route 26, Highway 2 between State Route 172 and State Route 17. Traffic was also affected by blowing dust and multiple collisions.
