Inslee Calls Wildfires Climate Files

Governor Jay Inslee renamed the wildfires in California and the Northwest as “climate fires” saying the blazes were not “an act of God”. The two-term governor said Friday that the fires need to be fought both on the ground and by creating clean energy jobs. Close to 1000 square miles have been consumed which Inslee says is the second-worst in the state’s history. When Inslee ran for President his campaign had a battling climate-change priority.
