Governor Jay Inslee issued an apology after it was discovered that apples he brought from the Governor’s mansion to Bridgeport last week tested positive for apple maggot larvae. Inslee visited the area to witness the damage done by the recent wildfires. At a news conference on Thursday Inslee says they regret the mistake and hope awareness to apple quarantines will be heightened as a result. The Inslees are making a donation to food banks in the wildfire areas.
