The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office issued Level 3 evacuation notices to Overlook Road, Coyote Run Road and Long Tom Canyon Road due to increased activity from the Evans Canyon Fire. Level 3 means to leave immediately for safety. The American Red Cross and the Sheriff’s Office are working to help the evacuees find shelter and other necessities. As of late Thursday the fire is 10% contained.
