The City of Ephrata may have a new top cop by the end of next week. Former Chief Mike Warren became city manager when Wes Crago left earlier this year and Captain Eric Koch was named interim chief. Koch and retired State Patrol Lieutenant Kurt Adkinson of Moses Lake are the remaining two finalists for the job. The new chief will be chosen by a hiring panel which will be created by next Wednesday.
