The state Department of Natural Resources has closed lands to recreation because of high fire danger. It is in effect until at least Friday and covers DNR managed property east of the Cascades,. Timber harvest activities on DNR-managed lands also have been shut down as wellas all timber sales and fuel mitigation work on U.S. Forest Service lands performed under DNR’s Good Neighbor Authority until at least Thursday.
