The state Department of Natural Resources extends the closure of lands to recreation through next Thursday because of continued high fire danger. It covers DNR managed property east of the Cascades. Officials say they understand the concerns of hunters not being able to go out but the risks are too high. Hunters with concerns about their tags should contact the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
