WA Applying For Federal Unemployment Benefit

Those collecting unemployment benefits may soon see a $300 increase if the federal government approved Washington’s application to receive additional funding. The additional $600 benefit payment unde the CARES act expired at the end of July and earlier this month President Donald Trump ordered the $300 additional benefit. State officials say once Washington is approved the extra benefit will be retroactive to Aug. 1.
