A driver injured in a crash last month near Moses Lake has died. Police say Jose Chema Erivas of Othello was on state Route 17 going southbound when he went into the northbound lanes and his pickup was hit by a semi-truck. Chema Ervias died Tuesday at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. According to investigators the semi’s driver swerved to avoid the pickup but ended up hitting it on the side. The driver was not hurt.
