The U.S. Department of the Interior announced the Third Power Plant at Grand Coulee Dam will be renamed as the “Nathaniel ‘Nat’ Washington Power Plant” in honor of the father-son duo who were instrumental in the conception, construction and implementations of operations at the dam. The announcement was made at a virtual roundtable discussion hosted by Congressman Dan Newhouse who thanked the department for giving these local pioneers of hydropower the recognition they deserve.
