Law enforcement agencies across the state are conducting DUI enforcement patrols from now through Labor Day. It’s the first emphasis patrol since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak. The Washington Traffic Safety Commission says over 230 people were killed in DUI-related crashes last year. The commission says some people think consuming cannabis after drinking will sober them up but in reality it just raises the intoxication level.
