A Cashmere grocery store bookeeper is facing charges after an investigation found she stole over $9,000 in merchandise over a 3 year period. Prosecutors say the 51-year-old woman from Cashmere used her position as bookkeeper at Martin’s Market to take home store items without paying for them. The store had a policy where workers could have purchases deducted from their paychecks. According to investigators when confronted the woman admitted taking the items.
