What started out as a domestic disturbance call in Soap Lake on Tuesday turned into a tense situation where an officer stopped a man from taking his own life. According to Chief Ryan Cox the officer who had joined the department less than 2 weeks after graduating from the academy convinced the man to let them get him help. Chief Cox says the officer experienced the best and most up to date training possible for this type of situation.
