Evacuation levels for the Colockum Fire near Malaga were reduced on Sunday as containment of the nearly 3,400 acre blaze reached 25 percent. The Southeast Washington Interagency Incident Management Team reports over 225 personnel are on the scene with helicopters assisting ground crews. Roadways are at limited access to only residents or property owners.
The fire was first reported at about 2:15 p.m. Friday and the cause is under investigation.
