Grant County PUD commissioners decide not to implement a temporary 4% rate cut for its core customers after discussing the matter at its Tuesday meeting. The cut for residential, irrigation and small and medium-sized businesses was proposed by commissioner Dale Walker would have been in effect until the end of the year. It would have reduced revenues by $2.1 million. The utility will now look at other ways to help hard-hit customers.
