No Tickets For Mask Violations

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on enforcement of Governor Jay Inslee’s mandatory mask wearing executive order that takes effect on Friday. The statement says Inslee’s order is not a mandate for the sheriff’s office or local law enforcement to detain, cite or arrest suspected violators and deputies have larger public safety priorities than writing tickets for mask violations. Sheriff’s deputies will continue focusing on educating the benefits of wearing a mask.
