Gov. Jay Inslee is creating a task force to come up with proposals to reduce the number of incidents of police brutality in the wake of the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis by four city police officers. The goal is to come up with specific suggestions which can then be submitted to the state legislature for consideration and ratification. Lawmakers around the country are calling for reforms in the wake of Floyd’s death.
