A structure fire broke out Sunday in the Mae Valley area of Moses Lake. Crews from Grant County Fire District 5 were called out to te 1200 block of Road D Northwest where a 40 by 40 foot building that housed around 60 chickens was ablaze. The chickens all perished but there were no other injuries reported. Investigators point to an electrical problem as the fire’s cause.
