The Grant County Prosecutor’s Office is not charging Moses Lake Police Officer Nick Stewart in the February fatal shooting of a suspect who was trying to evade capture. Prosecutor Garth Dano issued a statement sayiung in part that Stewart acted with the highest level of professionalism as a trained police officer. The incident critically injured K-9 Chief who had to undergo surgery to remove his eye and forced his retirement.
