The coronavirus outbreak means no splashing this year at Ephrata’s Splash Zone water park. City officials announced on Thursday they decided to keep the park closed due to the uncertainty of how quickly the area will work through Governor Inslee’s four-phase reopening process. The city’s Parks and Recreation Department is planning to offer alternative programs and activities for residents.
