The Moses Lake City Council voted Tuesday to rejoin the Grant County Conservation District. By a 4-3 vote, the council approved a petition to be re-annexed into the conservation district. Councilmembers Don Myers, Dean Hankins and Daryl Jackson voted “no.” The district requested that the city rejoin to help provide funding to the Watershed Council so solutions can be found for the toxic blue-green algae that recently impacted the lake. The city left the district in 2017.
