The state Department of Natural Resources is asking the public to be cognizant of their surroundings when lighting fires with temperatures heading into the 80s this weekend. The DNR says wildfire risk will be high this weekend in Grant, Chelan, and Douglas counties due to drought conditions and wind gusts as high as 25 miles an hour. Cooler temperatures on the way for Monday and Tuesday will lower the fire risk.
