A planned controlled burn north of Ephrata ends up getting out of control and destroyed a camp trailer. According to Grant County Fire District 13 the burn was conducted on Monday in the Rimrock Meadows community and Rimrock’s community firefighters got the fire contained with District 13 crews extinguishing the half-acre blaze. Officials say to monitor weather conditions before doing a controlled burn and consider doing it another day if it’s windy.
