Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson is warning about a new scam making the rounds with this one involving the soon-to-be-released stimulus payments from the federal government. Ferguson warns that scammers are trying to get personal information including bank account info and the government will never ask for that over the phone. Prior tax returns are being used to distribute the checks or direct deposit payments. Hang up if you get one of these scam calls.
