The death of a 20-year-old man north of Ellensburg is being investigated as a homicide. Police say they recovered the man’s body Saturday after a citizen spotted it in a creek along Smithson Road. The man was identified as Leroy Scott who is a native of Louisiana but had ties to Joint Base Lewis McChord. An autopsy was being conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
