State Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler issues an emergency order requiring health insurers to waive copays and deductibles for any required coronavirus testing. In addition, insurers are mandated to allow a one-time early refill for prescription drugs and suspend any prior authorization requirement for treatment or testing for the virus that so far has taken 12 lives in Washington. The order applies to all state-regulated health insurance plans and short-term limited duration medical plans through May 4.
