A state senator from Pierce County introduces a bill to pull $100 million from state savings to pay for responding to the coronavirus which has killed six people in Washngton. Steve O’Ban’s bill authorizes the $100-million transfer to the disaster response account, solely for response and recovery efforts related to the declared emergency. O’Ban says they want to act quickly to make sure response and recovery efforts aren’t delayed by a lack of funding.
