A Moses Lake K-9 is recovering after being shot Friday by a suspect after a police chase. Captain Mike Williams says the dog was taken to the WSU Veterinary Hospital and was reported to be much more responsive on Sunday. A decision will be made today on whether surgery is necessary. The suspect was shot near Denton Road in the Cascade Valley after running from officers then pulling a gun. The suspect’s name is being withheld.
