Next Tuesday Grant PUD commissioners will vote on the final rate increases that kick in April 1 and those businesses under the utility’s “emerging industries” category will have a lower increase than oriiginally proposed. The new rate is 4.2 cents per kilowatt hour which is over 20 percent lower than the proposed 5.3 cents per kilowatt hour. The rate will increase again in 2021 to 4.9 cents per kilowatt hour.
