With Washington’s outbreak of the coronavirus state Department of Health officials are asking voters to not lick the envelope of their primary ballot envelopes as a way to seal it. They recommend using a wet sponge or cloth. Ballots needs to be mailed or dropped off by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the Secretary of State’s office just over 21 percent have turned in ballots so far. In 2016 the turnout was just under 35 percent.
