Donations Made To Help K-9 Chief

The Moses Lake community donated close to $36,000 to cover medical expenses for K-9 officer Chief who was shot while trying to apprehend a suspect. Chief ended up losing his left eye but veterinarians said the bullet came very close to hitting his brain. Chief and his handler Officer Nick Sargent are back in Moses Lake. Police officials say any money left over after paying Chief’s medical costs will go toward the department’s K-9 team donation fund.
